SOLD-OUT EVENTS & WAITLISTS

If an event or showing sells out, members may have the opportunity to join a waitlist.

If an additional showtime or performance is added, members on the waitlist receive access to newly released tickets using the same membership order:

FIRST ACCESS → 24 HOURS → SECOND ACCESS → 24 HOURS → THIRD ACCESS

Joining a waitlist does not guarantee that an additional showing will be added or that tickets will become available.

WHERE YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEES GO

100% of paid membership fees go directly into the Storm King Theater Fund at the Community Foundation of Orange County.
The fund supports:
  • Long-term capital improvement projects
  • Theater upgrades and improvements
  • Repairs and facility needs
  • Free community events
  • Free community programming and experiences
Your membership is a direct investment in preserving and improving Storm King Theater while helping us continue to create meaningful experiences for the community.

EVENT ELIGIBILITY

Most Storm King Theater programming will be available across our membership community. A small portion of programming may have specific audience or eligibility requirements based on age, residency, membership level, Film Club or Supper Club membership, program type, invitation status or other event-specific requirements.
Certain events and experiences may also be offered exclusively as benefits for qualifying membership levels.
Your First, Second or Third Access level determines when you may access tickets for an event for which you are eligible. It does not override an event's eligibility requirements.
Any restrictions will be clearly identified when an event is announced.

Membership Q&A

  • Storm King Theater is an intimate space with just 50 seats for each movie showing, and we never want people arriving only to find that there isn't a seat available.

    Membership helps us manage ticket reservations, understand demand and gauge interest in programming so we know when we should add additional showtimes. It helps us create a better experience for everyone while learning what our community wants to see.

    Memberships start at $0, so you never have to pay to access theater ticketing. If you choose a paid membership, you'll receive additional benefits while also showing your support for Storm King Theater and helping us continue to preserve, improve and program the theater.

  • No. Complimentary memberships are available for both residents and non-residents. Paid memberships offer earlier ticket access, additional benefits and a way to financially support Storm King Theater.

  • Your access level determines when your ticket window opens.

    First Access opens first.
    Second Access opens 24 hours later.
    Third Access opens 24 hours after Second Access.

    Tickets are first come, first served within each access period and subject to availability.

  • Anyone who lives in the Town of Cornwall or Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson qualifies. We also extend Resident Membership to Town and Village employees, police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics and other first responders who directly serve the Cornwall community, even if they live elsewhere.   • We will first attempt to confirm residency through Image Mate Online. If we cannot verify your residency, we may ask for a current utility bill or driver's license. Those who qualify because they serve Cornwall may be asked for identification or documentation confirming their employment or service. Verification can be completed in person or by email.

  • No. Paid memberships are non-refundable.

  • No. Membership determines when you have access to tickets, but tickets are first come, first served and subject to availability. If a showing sells out, we may offer a waitlist and add additional showtimes when demand and scheduling allow.

  • 100% of paid membership fees go directly into the Storm King Theater Fund at the Community Foundation of Orange County. The fund supports capital improvements, theater upgrades and repairs, facility needs, and free community events and programming.

  • Storm King Film Club is limited to 40 members and includes First Access, private screenings, Secret Screenings, film votes and other cinema experiences.

    Storm King Supper Club is limited to 40 members and includes Second Access to general theater ticketing plus member-first access to separately ticketed Supper Club culinary experiences.

  • Paid memberships are valid for one year from the month you join and are non-refundable. Complimentary memberships provide ongoing access subject to eligibility and current membership terms. Membership benefits and programming may evolve as Storm King Theater grows.

  • Yes. Storm King Theater is growing, and benefits, programming and member opportunities may evolve or expand over time. Any significant changes will be communicated to members.

  • Each time tickets are released, you will receive a unique access code or link by email that allows you to reserve or purchase tickets during your membership access period.

    The amount of time before we release tikets to other priority levels may vary by event and will be clearly specified in the email along with your code or link. Tickets are always first come, first served and subject to availability.
